Carmen has extensive experience within the financial and the industrial sectors having held senior management positions in both private and public sectors. She was CFO of Nacional Financiera and Bancomext, the two largest development banks in Mexico. Carmen has served as CFO for industrial companies such as: Novum (Grupo Desc), IUSA, and Innopack. She was the CEO of Grupo Azucarero Mexico (2nd largest sugar producer in Mexico). She was also a Commercial Bank VP, Corporate Bank VP, Financial Institutions VP and Workout and Restructuring VP for ScotiaBank. Carmen has worked as a Financial Sector Statutory Auditor at the Secretaria de la Contraloria, supervising four of the major banks in Mexico. Her most recent project was BCP Securities Mexico, a JV investment bank/brokerage dealer services firm specialized in Emerging Market Bonds. Carmen founded the firm in 2013 and recently sold in late 2017. She is an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and she graduated with honors from her BA degree at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
